ABOUT SDG YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP 2017

  • ​Are you a student in high school or university?
  • Have you got an idea or project that has social impact?
  • Do you want to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

​As part of the SDG Challenge 2017 initiative, UNDP Vietnam and HATCH! VENTURES, in collaboration with 2030 Youth Force Vietnam, have organized the SDG Youth Scholarship 2017.
​
​This scholarship is dedicated for students with SDG ideas or projects, who want to learn more about the SDGs, entrepreneurship, and how to turn an idea into a real business! 

ELIGIBILITY

  • ​You must be currently enrolled in high school or university
  • You have a basic understanding of the SDGs
  • You have an idea or currently implementing a project that can help achieve the SDGs
  • You must be able to communicate clearly in English 

BENEFITS

Winners of the SDG Youth Scholarship 2017 will be awarded with:
  • Certificate for SDG Youth Scholarship Award 2017 by UNDP Vietnam, HATCH! VENTURES and 2030 Youth Force
  • Access to training workshops of the SDG Challenge 2017 
  • Tickets to HATCH! FAIR the Fifth in Hanoi (23 Sep), Danang (07 Oct), and Ho Chi Minh City (27–28 Oct)
  • Travel and accommodation for top 03 winners to HATCH! FAIR the Fifth in Ho Chi Minh City on 27-28 Oct
  • Free SDG Business Toolkit on adapting your idea or project to help achieve the SDGs
  • A chance to present your idea on stage at HATCH! FAIR the Fifth in Ho Chi Minh city 



TIMELINE

1
Online Application Round
Interested individuals who are currently enrolling in high schools or universities/colleges and have an SDG-related ideas or projects are encouraged to apply to the SDG Youth Scholarship 2017. 

The Application Form will be closed on September 8, 2017.

Eligible candidates for assessment are those who have completed application form ​in English before the closing date.

Interview Round
Shortlisted candidates after Application Round will have an interview with the jury board to further assess:
  • How much you understand SDGs
  • How much you contribute to the SDGs with your idea or project
  • How sustainable your idea or project is  

The Interview Round will be take place from 18-28 September, 2017. Details of this round will be sent via email.

Result Announcement
Result of winners of SDG Youth Scholarship Award will be announced on 09 October, 2017. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend HATCH! FAIR the Fifth in Hanoi (23 Sep) and Danang (07 Oct). Only selected candidates will receive e-invitations from HATCH!.
